Droid 5 Release For Verizon Looks Like The Original (Rumor)

Posted on 24 August 2013 by author

Motorola is reportedly coming out with the a latest member of the Droid line with the pics already leaked online in various angles. But this is just a rumor as it is posted on a non-Company site showing the usual QWERTY sliding keyboard and a screen with a size ranging from 4.3-inch to 4.5 inch. The Droid 5 is resistant as to water, dust; and also shockproof. It is capable of wireless charging and supports NFC.

Apparently, the Chinese website which provided the leak isn’t complete as to details but the smartphone is showing the Verizon logo in 4G LTE. The multimedia enable and internet capable smartphone  runs on Android presumably on the latest version. If the imminent outing of Droid 5 is proven to be true, it goes to show that the QWERTY slider lives on and without intention of leaving permanently in the near future.

The Droid 5 will be accompanied by LG Enact in the Verizon turf upon release. With the lack of other details, there’s no price to show for now and availability as to when and where. The Verizon Droid family consists of 23 models featured in a span of 4 years from the original HTC Droid Eris on 2009 to the HTC Droid DNA on 2012 plus the Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra, and Droid Mini.
