We came, We saw, Did we conquer? – That’s the line of droid to the thousands of buyers who gushed down on Manhattan as early as November 6, 2009 (midnight) just to get their hands laid on the new droid creations (Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Eris). This release wouldn’t be possible if not for the “supreme tech-blogs” that surround our realm namely, enagdget, boygeniusreport, gizmodo, mashable and a whole lot to mention. Did we say pinoytutorial too? :D
Without a doubt the unveiling today was more than welcome by humans although the stream of people who fall in line were not that volcanic compare to the Apple iphone launch. Likewise, it doesn’t make it less forminable than the iphone. With all of Verizon’s mocking promotion against the iPhone kind, its not surprising to see people already having a hint on what they will be embracing on their droid gadget today. NEW YORK–The new Motorola Droid got a sleepy reception on Friday morning when it officially went on sale across the country in Verizon Wireless stores starting at 7 a.m. in some places.
From New York to San Francisco, most stores around the country had few if any lines when doors opened Friday morning. There was a handful of people waiting outside at the Verizon Wireless store on West 34th Street here in Manhattan. And about 20 people waited in line outside a store here on Sixth Avenue, as well as at one in Clifton, N.J., Verizon officials said.
So far the reviews and customer feedback on the new Droid have been positive. The sharp display and cool applications like Google Maps with navigation are impressing customers. But the slow and sometimes blurry 5-megapixel camera was a noticeable negative, even for prospective customers checking out the device in the store.

And of course, BoyGenius manage to catch a glimpse of boxes of droid phones ready to be served on customers thanks to his mystical “connections”.

I’m sure they are quite costy too, We only hope the return of investment for the Droid Kingdom is opposite of waning. Again, congratulations to the people who faced the Judgment day today.
Updates: It seems TechCrunch manages to record their “grand entrance” to a yet another droid phone store along with fellow geeks, although you can see in the video that the place looks the opposite of full. Perhaps, wrong spot to record a clip ei?
