Eager to get your hands with Droid RAZR Maxx? Not only the device will be Moto’s latest offering for its ultra-thin smartphones, we also received a confirmation today the company is prepping for a new event happening on February 6, which is ten days after the official arrival of RAZR Maxx on January 26 on retailers.
So what’s the buzz all about? It turns out the said event will be using Maxx as the alpha dog showing the new innovation of Motorola in terms of conserving that precious battery life of its devices especially now that using 4G is your cup of tea and consumes too much power. From what we’ve heard, the new handset will run for 24 hours just to show its power for interested customers.
Speaking of which, we also confirmed the price of RAZR Maxx will fork $299.99 under a 2-year contract on Verizon which is precisely the same tag of the original Droid RAZR (now selling for $199 only). That being said, if you’re planning to buy this baby without any commitment, you need to shell out 650-$750 which is similar with Verizon’s offering for other premium unlocked Android handsets like Galaxy Nexus.
If you’re that guy who isn’t really in dire need to get Maxx by the end of this month, I suggest you watch Moto’s event a week after just to know how long the handset can truly last.
