Sure, we’ve already heard what a smartbook is before and if you want an instant summarization, it’s like a high-end laptop in terms of specifications with a netbook type of body that contains other subtle features. Last time we check, we were impressed with the Toshiba AC100 showcased last June. As of today, Genesi is planning to officially launch its Efika MX smartbook which was first seen last September.

I know the name doesn’t really stand out this time and disappointingly, its specifications isn’t what you can call high-end. Anyway, just to give you a quick spec-look, this device would pack a 10.1-inch TFT LCD screen w/ 1024 x 600 resolution whereas it will run i.MX515 which is an adapted chip similar to ARM Cortex-A8 800MHz. Tagging along with that is its 16GB NAND Flash, MMC / SD card slot, internal MicroSD slot; Bluetooth 2.1 / WiFi support and integrated camera with built-in microphone + speaker.
Meanwhile, the company claims this smartbook would also have a 3D graphics processing unit and a multi-format HD and DI video decoder / encoder.
Anyway, at least the price of this one lies on the cheap side of the market tagged at 199 USD, which might perk your interest if this unit is your type.
