This device is said to be the 1st dualbook in the globe. The Entourage Edge tablet targets students especially those students who are addicted to books. You can take advantage of this device for about $499. What people really like about this product is its hinge. It enables you to flip the screen to a complete 180-degrees angle.
That makes the dual screen both expose and leaning over back to back. This tablet has a 3 megapixel on top of the screen. The screen display size in one side is 10.1 inch with 1024×600 resolution. On the other side the screen is an EInk 9.7 inch with 1200×825 resolution. The E-Ink screen has a lot of space to consist many texts on. You will have a superb reading experience with this device. It has physically visible buttons that you can press if you want to turn to the other page or go back. It also has text zooming that will helps you read more clearly and you can easily highlight or underline words easily.
You can find it’s battery at the bottom edge. The stylus is also tucked on the other edge of the tablet.The ports are located in the sides. This has a 2 USB ports, SIM & SD card slots, a micro USB, microphone and headset. Some of the ports have rubber covers to protect it. The Wi-Fi switch is a long the top of the edge. The disadvantage of this device is its weight. It weighs 3 pounds and for some who likes to carry it on their hand it is kind of heavy in the long run. Plus, the heat system of this device actually reaches the temperature of 106 – 110 degrees if you will normally lay it flat.
The Entourage Edge store has 225,000 trade books and 65 current New York Times best sellers as well. In addition to that they also have over 5000 news papers. The feedback of the consumers who uses it said that their books in the store aren’t complete unlike Amazon, Barnes and Noble e-book store. I am actually quite disappointed about some of the features and application of this tablet. Lastly, since this is using an E-ink base it encounters about 2 seconds delay before the word will reveal in writing. You can record your classes using this tablet; though it can record some of the background noises still it is very helpful specially in reviewing for examinations.
