A lot were bewildered when Tabata (Square Enix’s head) decided to spill the beans for its next project for Final Fantasy. And it appears they aren’t going to stick on their tradition of just following the sequels by roman numeral numbers but rather, introducing a new twist like adding dashes to its title for the purpose of adding a sequel to a main story line before jumping on to another sequel with a different story – Confusing. No?
Just moments ago, we have revealed that Square Enix has just revealed the continuation of FFXIII which would be entitled as Final Fantasy XIII-2. As of the moment, we have another confirmation that the once rumored Final Fantasy Agito is all legit and it’s now going to be released under the title Final Fantasy Type-o. And this is how the cookie crumbles basing from the leaked trailer that’s still going to be revealed next week.
While we aren’t that good on narrating the details, it’s clear that the game is paralleled with the Crisis Core: FFVII and the battlefield is set foot on the Peristerium School of Magic whereas two young characters are protruded (male and female). Again, this game is developed and produced by Yoshinori Kitase and Hajime Tabata.
Release date on Q2 of 2011 at Japan without any disclosure if this one would be revealed for western countries.
