Just two months after releasing Firefox 5, Mozilla is again releasing a newer Firefox 6 which has been set on August 16, Tuesday.

It is faster by 20% than the previous version (Firefox 5) but retains the major UI and browser features except for minor innovations such as, address bar highlight of the domain name, less memory use, enhanced image scaling and Chrome Gingerbread visual style. Mozilla’s FTP servers are now catering to Firefox 6 downloads. It’s a quite snappy browser this time with the sly fox still eager for more updates and upgrades. Mozilla is building both Thunderbird and Firefox to complement each other’s web usefulness and presence.
Firefox is an open source and free web browser developed by Mozilla Corporation currently the second widely used internet browser in the world. It descended from the Mozilla Application Suite and uses Gecko layout engine to display web pages. Notable Firefox features include: private browsing, incremental find, live bookmarking, tabbed browsing and download manager.
Third-party developers contribute extensions for added functionalities. It runs on Windows, GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and other platforms. The latest version is expected to support or enhanced CSS Animations, JavaScript, networking and memory performance. Also, improved standards support for HTML5, XHR and MathML are also on hand.
