Are you familiar with the slogan “Man was born to fly?” Well, this is actually the slogan of FlyNano, the very popular 70 kg FlyNano Electric Microlight aircraft. Well, if you are not yet familiar about this water-borne aircraft that could bring flying a whole new group of enthusiasts out there, then this is actually a single-seat microlight aircraft that was designed by a Finnish aeronautical engineer named Aki Suokas. Apparently, this personal aircraft can take off both in land and in water and has the ability to fly up to 43 miles at 76 mph.

Soukas together with his company have stated that they are officially launching the aircraft at the Aero 2011 show in Friedrichshafen Germany which started last April 13 and lasted up to April 16. Basically, this aircraft is made up of carbon fiber composite and weighs around 154 pounds, which is light enough to be flown even without a pilot’s license.

People who had previous experiences with ultras and micros are expected to find it relatively easy to fly the Nano right out of the box since it basically easy to operate and come with simple rules of the air. As mentioned, this microlight aircraft will be available in three different models that include a 20 kW electric version, a 24 hp gasoline model and a 35 hp gasoline-powered racing version as well.

Basically, the FlyNano wingspan measures nearly five meters and has a maximum take- off weight of around 200 kg and has a speed range of around 70 km/h to 140 km/h. Well, FlyNano’s true speed is actually about 140 km/h at 70 percent power and a theoretical operational distance of about 70 kilometers.

So if you want to fly and pilot your own plane without the need of attending formal flying lessons and the need of a pilot’s license, then flying the FlyNano aircraft is definitely provides you the opportunity to do so. However, it is important to take note that this aircraft is quite limited as far as space is concerned because it does not have a place for passengers and luggage.

Well, this Flynano aircraft may not be considered a real plane, but this is a great way to experience how it feels to fly in the air. The FlyNano is available for pre-order now and will be available by July. The most expensive version of the FlyNano will be offered at a price of $ 39,000.
