It was on the dawn of this month we received reports about a Samsung smartphone, equipped with Galaxy S2-like specs, to be infused by the upcoming Windows Phone Mango (7.5) and its release date will hit on October. After that, we’ve heard another report that aside from Sammy; ZTE, Acer and Fujitsu will also take a bite with the sweet fruit update.
Well what do you know? It appears today, a blurrycam image was spotted on the blogosphere stating it would be Fujitsu’s first WP7.5 Mango phone and it will be under the KDDI mobile carrier.
According to Nikkei – a Japan-based tech site – the Fujitsu IS12T / TSI12 are expected to be released on the land of the rising sun hitting an August release date and it will be available on KDDI carrier. Should this report became true, this would be the first mobile phone that will ever receive the Mango Update. Tag price? 30k-40k Yen equivalent to 370-500 USD.
Interestingly, this device was also spotted at the FCC a couple of days ago making this rumor more legit. This device will contain specs just like any high-end KDDI device: It will be waterproof, has a powerful image sensor (12 megapixel shooter camera), and a 3.7-inch touchscreen display. If you’ll ask me, its processor should be at par with the Galaxy S2 since we all know a dual core 1GHz CPU would already be Paleolithic when we reach the last quarter of this year — expected to be the dawn of dual-core 1.5GHz CPUs and quad-core mobile processors.
Expect other Mango phones to hit its announcement on September followed by a holiday release.
