The Fujitsu LifeBook T580 has now hit the US market after some time stewing in the Japanese home field. The laptop-tablet hybrid is no longer in the Netbook category since it uses Core i3 or Core i5 processors instead of the usual Atom processors that everyone can see on other similar sized notebook convertibles.

Here are the specs for the LifeBook T580 Tablet PC:
- Intel Core i3-380UM Processor (1.33 GHz, 3MB L3 cache)
- Windows 7 Pro 32-bit
- Microsoft Office Starter 2010
- 10.1″ HD WXGA LED backlight LCD
- 4-finger capacitive multi-touch screen with pen input
- 2 GB DDR3 800 MHz SDRAM memory (2 GB + empty slot)
- 160 GB S-ATA 5400 RPM hard drive3
- Atheros XSPAN® (802.11 a/b/g/n)
- Integrated Bluetooth Wireless
- Built-in Web Camera
- Embedded Fingerprint Sensor
- Dedicated Smart Card slot
- Integrated ambient light sensor
- Spill-resistant keyboard with touchpad
- 6-cell Li-Ion battery at 5,800mAh
The capacitative display is an N-trig digitizer which supports both pen (which is tethered to the pen slot) and finger input. You can get this for $1,149 or you can shell out $1,399 if you want a Core i5-560UM processor. You can order one now at the Fujitsu Shop.
