For the past few weeks, everything seems to be sailing smooth with the release of Galaxy Nexus on Europe, United States and rest of retailers around the globe. However, it appears a showstopper has come before the ideal ICS phone as Expansys, a US-based online retailer, made a statement earlier today about Samsung cancelling the 32GB model for GSM Galaxy Nexus.
Just a refresher, Sammy originally announced there’ll be two version of the handset. The first one was the 16GB edition whereas the company promised a storage with twice the capacity of its kin will appear in the market later. Unfortunately, if we’ll follow Expansys report, things are going dark. Take note, the source of this news came from a Sammy rep who notified the retailer about the cancellation of the said model. To reflect the change, other retailers were spotted to have taken down their 32GB Galaxy Nexus page hinting this statement is real as it gets.
On the other hand, there’s still a chance for you to get a 32GB Galaxy Nexus, that is, if you’re willing to fly on United States and buy its CDMA edition under Verizon. Right now, we’re still waiting for the official announcement coming from the Korean company but just in case this report materialized, it means future buyers of Galaxy Nexus (GSM) should realize they will forever be stuck at a non-expandable 16GB storage.
