Gateway Computer Corporation is coming out with a seemingly re-branded Iconia A500 version, the Gateway TP Series A60 Tablet with a 1 Ghz dual-core processor (Tegra 2), 1Gb RAM and a built-in storage of 16Gb.

The slate also features a 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity, a rear camera with 5Mp, a front camera at 2Mp and a 1280 x 800 native screen resolution with 3D capability. The tablet has a size of 10.1 inches (slightly less than a ruler) and sports a screen finish and glossy look. Gateway is a California-based manufacturer of servers, personal computers and monitors. Due to its Android Honeycomb OS and processor with GeForce graphics, the tablet is expected to deliver performance at par or slightly beyond other tablets in the market.
The dual cameras allow shooting videos and taking pictures, while the wireless feature enables online connectivity for productive purposes. Other known features are: SDHC memory card type, built-in memory card reader, built-in Speaker with 2W wattage, a microphone input, a 3.5 mm headphone jack size, integrated – 2.1 + EDR Bluetooth, HDMI output, two USB 2.0 ports, In-use battery life of 8 hours, 6520 mAh battery capacity, G-Sensor, Gyroscope and Hard-key QWERTY keyboard. Pre-loaded software includes: Google Books, Need for Speed, Photo Browser 3D, LumiRead, YouTube and Let’s Golf.
The TP Series A60 tablet is currently available for $399.
