Ah yes, the battle for the greatest video card lives on! And as much as I want to engage on these geeky-bouts (a couple of years ago), I realized that these things have their own way of beating each other on one way or another. As some of you may noticed, just last year, ATI HD 5970 bagged the title as the fastest video card on earth although just this year, everything seems to be different as GeForce GTX 580 claims the title again. On the end, it’s not really about which is the King but how you are willing to sacrifice your money and get the most efficient output possible to enjoy your gaming rig.
As of today, Techreport made a neutral report about GeForce GTX 580 Vs AMD Radeon HD 6870. Why neutral? Because you wouldn’t hear these guys say — “And our winner is”. Thus, the only guarantees you can have is there will be another video card ready to topple each one and bring the unbalance of force again. The 6900 series for AMD and who knows what will be the name of Nvidia’s next arsenal of video cards?
At this point, we’re not hitting any specifications because as you can see, specifications isn’t enough to give credit for these two beasts. But if you will ask me, I would go for the most cost efficient – in which I think you know what I would pick, right? – Choice is yours my men!
