GenosTV just announced that it would be showing off working prototypes of its Cyclops Multifunction Universal Controller at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that will be held in Las Vegas from January 7 to 11, 2011. Well, GenosTV is actually the first IPTV operator that fully utilized existing broadband connections with the purpose of delivering a solid television programming services to internet-connected televisions and various consumer electronics devices. They have been providing its subscribers access to cable, network and other media content from all over the world.
In addition to this, GenosTV also made an announcement that the team behind Cyclops is also working closely with an international television manufacturer in order to combine their requirements and various control codes into the Cyclops firmware. Aside from this, GenosTV will be also talking with other television manufacturers at CES and look for possible options of expanding their universal control capability.
The Cyclops controller seems to be a great attraction for various entertainment electronics manufacturer as well as some potential customers as well mainly because of its unique design as well as its multifunction capability. The Cyclops controller may be use as a universal remote control, keyboard and mouse.
Mike West, co founder of GenosTV strongly believes that they can put Cyclops at the front and center of the leading electronics manufacturers at the CES event. This will be ideal for the next generation of Internet-connected consumer electronic devices.
Genos TV’s CEO and co-founder named Rob Shambro is also expected to deliver some sort of speech at the inaugural “Content in the Cloud” Conference at the CES event. His presentation is entitled “Benefits of Cloud-Delivered Content for Consumers: Ubiquity, Cost, Portability Improvements,” and this will be delivered in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s North Hall.
This presentation will also include the launching of GenosTV’s flagship service that will be launched in 2011. This service will be offering consumers an affordable access to the traditional broadcast and cable television programming over their existing broadband connections that will surely give them an ultimate entertainment experience. This will definitely be a better choice and a more convenient option than the existing television offerings.
