The internet company giant Google, will celebrate its 11th year since it was founded (incorporated) on September 4, 1998 by 2 Stanford students.
Sergey M. Brin and Lawrence E. Page built early foundations of Google using inexpensive computers and set it up on a garage. Eleven (11) years later, Google has expanded into a multi-diverse industry focusing not only on search engine technology but also in areas of software, advertising, platform and email services.
And to celebrate its 11th fruitful year. Big G has made a commemorative logo on its homepage.
Exact Birthdate?
Some disputes materialized over Google’s exact birthday. Some claims that Google’s birthday should be on September 4, 1998 when it was incorporated while others said it should be on 1997 when Google.com was registered.
In a somewhat comical statement Google cleared these “petty” fights by saying:
Google opened its doors in September 1998. The exact date when we celebrate our birthday has moved around over the years, depending on when people feel like having cake.
And over the years, Google constantly change its logo on September 27th, which could mean that this is Big G’s official birthdate. It isn’t complicated at all, plus, we guess Google doesn’t mind its exact birthdate as long as business is doing good.
Other birthday logos
Google had produced beautifully designed logos. Frankly, they look better than strange crop circles and alien ship logos Google posted before.
