Google Music Android Review: How To Download and Use it on your Android Devices?

Posted on 13 May 2011 by pinoytutorial

Have you heard about Google’s latest offering? It’s the all-new music service coming from Google that is commonly referred to as the Google Music. Apparently, this new music service is a cloud-based and mobile-friendly music service that is now officially called Music Beta by Google. Basically, this music service will be similar in nature with Amazon’s recently released Amazon Cloud Player. And just like Amazon, Google will also be launching this music service without the cooperation and participation of various record labels.

This Google Music service is still in its beta version that can be downloaded from the Android market and run in any Android-based device. This music service will be allowing its users to load music that they own on a server and letting them stream music in any Android phones and tablets through using a mobile app or a web-based player. And the great thing about this music service is that users will be able to store up to 20,000 songs for free. This is definitely more than what the Amazon Cloud Player can offer.

This new music service from Google was introduced at the Google I/O developer’s conference where a lot of Google products were introduced. This new music service will penetrate the US market first and will run on all Android-based devices including tablets and mobile phones. Basically, the tunes stored in the app will be available when you are offline. In addition to this, the songs and playlists will also automatically sync between the service’s web and the mobile applications. However, this music service has also its limitations as well that includes no caching and does not allow purchasing songs as well.

Basically, this cloud-based music service appears to be more basic than what a lot of people have expected. Google has also emphasized that this music service is only for “lawfully acquired music” as of the moment. And in line with this, Google has also some plans of working with right holders in order to make sure that all the Google tracks included in this music service are not in violation.

The new music service from Google is really something to look forward to and knowing the fact that this service aims to make music accessible to more users, it is very interesting to know whether this new music service will be a success or not.
