And the official Google Nexus S is finally here. And we’re kinda sad. Let’s just say that this isn’t what we’re expecting coming from its amazing beginning from the Nexus One flagship device. Previously, we have covered all the reasons why this phone would suck under a 3-month timeframe from the day it was first released and I guess our premonitions we’re correct.
As of today, Google reveals the Nexus S and it will cater all the previous leaks for this device like a 4-inch WVGA screen display, HSPA (not mentioned if it can go 4G), 5MP camera, NFC (near-field-communication) capability, 5MP camera, 16GB integrated storage capacity (no mentioned of a microSD slot), 512MB RAM, gyroscope like the ones we’ve seen from the Galaxy S series and a new contour display feature. In addition to the specifications comes its new VoIP support, the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Sadly, the phone is using a 1GHz Cortex A8-hummingbird type of processor, quite far from the bloated rumors that it will be using a dual-core type of orion processor.

Let me repeat again, this phone is great but to call this release amazing than its first predecessor’s revelation is like asking a fine lady to strip on a drunken dirty-old-man in his late fifties – you get the picture? If you are interested, this one is already available on T-mobile carrier and its release date will be on December 16 and you can order it via online, best buy stores / mobile shops around USA. You can have it as unlock or have it with a plan and it’s expected to hit UK on December 20 at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy in UK.
