The astounding release of Google Plus is certainly felt by the netizens now that it finally reached its second week, tagging along popular figures on the social-media including celebrities – I just googled it!
In our previous report, we revealed the growth of Google+ is so fast it may even reach 20 million this weekend, and beyond that next week making this social-network even bigger than Google Wave on its entire lifespan before it was put into graveyard.
Likewise, after you receive your Google+ invitation, created your profile, add some friends on your circles and see how cool “hangouts” compared with some of the VOiP chat services you already know, you may wonder what are the other things Google should need to include on Plus to make it a total blockbuster and a real contender against Facebook.
Well, we have collected some of the top answers on this post made by Mashable and it all breaks down to the following.
Nested Circles – enabling users to share their private circles with another person’s circles extending the communication and your network with other people.
Share on other social media sites – So far, this is only do-able via a google chrome extension. Hopefully, G+ shares via Facebook, Twitter, etc. will be implemented as a part of its native features.
Youtube and Google Wave Integration – Naturally, if Facebook is using its own video embedding service, Google may want to use the most popular video-streaming service on the planet. Added to that, just because Google Wave is dead doesn’t mean it couldn’t be resurrected. I only wonder the excitement if Wave’s amazing realtime chat conversation is implemented on Google+ (including its super advance Rosy language translator).
Google+ Games – While this is not on the top list, I believe plugging games on a social-networking site increases the engagement of users. In fact, this is a critical part of Facebook’s success so why Google shouldn’t take advantage of it?
Availability on other devices – So far, its app is only available on Android. In fact, Google+’s iPhone App is still being delayed for some undisclosed reason. Hopefully, G+ will be extended beyond smartphones only, we’re talking about those five year old cellular phones being able to access it or other type of devices.
Business Profiles – Well, this was already hinted by Google last week and expect a G+ service similar to Facebook Business Pages this year.
