Translation of different languages is now easy with Google Translate, especially when it was released last year in Android so that you will never have to go to the computer to translate something. This can be done anywhere, anytime in your phone.

This month, Google Translate for Android celebrates its first birthday and with that comes a new product for it: the Conversation mode. Here, you can speak in one language in your phone, the app will read it aloud and translate it to the language of the person you are speaking to. Then that person can respond and it will translate it back to your language.
For now, there are still hiccups as it is still in alpha mode so background noises, thick accents and quick speeches may cause glitches in the app. Then, it is only available in English and Spanish for now. But despite that, majority of those using it are outside of US and the current app supports 53 languages for the text inputs and 15 for the voice inputs.

Even if it still in alpha mode, I’m pretty sure it will be fixed soon and will be available for Android-users. It’s already released today and can be downloaded for Android only. This is a great application and I can’t wait for it to be fully available for other languages as this will be helpful especially when you are talking to clients in different countries.

The new layout looks good. Also the drop downs to select languages is much better than earlier and Conversation mode is just too cool, hope we get this soon for all the other language.
