You can’t deny Google being part of our everyday lifestyle. The unique services they provide are proven to make our lives simple and easier (did I hear you say challenging and fun too?)
Way back in year 2000, who would have though that you can see your friend’s house via satellite for FREE? Well, now you can with use of google maps.
Today I will share you another innovation that will change the way how you look “collaboration” ever before. It will make “instant messaging” look like a baby.
If you think I am joking, then you really don’t have any idea what you are about read.
So guys let me present you, from the mouth of the visionary team called GOOGLE (now called as BIG G) … GOOGLE WAVE.
So what is Google Wave?
It’s a “a personal communication and collaboration tool”. That tends to revolutionize the way e-mail, instant messaging, wiki and social networking provide services to the users.
These are just some of the ingenious features, google wave provides.
Real-time Instant Messaging became more “real-time”.
Gone are the days, when you don’t see what your buddy is typing. With Wave, you can see each character being type by your “wavemate” instantly (character per character) before you received it in your message box.
Flawless integration of auto-translation and spell-check
With Wave’s bot-translator “Rosy”. You can chat with your friends and have your conversation be translated to whatever language your prefer on the fly! That goes the same with for the spelling checker. The said innovation even has the capability to correct human-sentences like “you have bean” to “you have been” instantly.
Embed in your site? A blog? Your social networking sites? Just WAVE it!
Google wave has an interface wherein you just drag and drop your website or your social networking sites (like twitter) to your google wave working-space and instantly your updates are spread. This is great for commenting on a website. You simply wave your message and voila its there.
Google wave and mobile “WYSYWIG” integration.
Its literally a what you see in your desktop is what you get on your mobile phone experience. No other sneaky mobile apps to install.
Create your own document and let it be edited by your buddies in real-time
Google wave’s another prime feature is to let your buddies be in a social-collaboration with your work. So for the first time, they have the ability to see a document you are working on and they can edit it at the same time with you. You can even see what they are editing as you work by google wave’s highlight feature.
After that, you can playback all the work, editing done by your buddies and see what’s right or wrong through “WAVE”.
This will strip down your working time to hundred of folds. Imagine doing a document and you got the lending hands of everyone? You can even include your social-networking friends to Jive-in and collaborate with your WIKI document.
It’s Open-Source
Do we need to explain this one? :D Well this just means that the code is well “spread” to the whole cyber community to yield development. Millions of programmer around the world will have the oppurtunity to improve Wave for the betterment of everyone.

What is the importance of collaborative work?
Seamless collaboration is a dream come-true for freelancers. Now their clients from the other part of the globe can see what they are doing in real-time action.
Teachers can see the actual document being done by their students. For the first time professors will not wonder anymore how did his student create an article-content on a jiffy?
There are thousands of ways to say how important is collaboration. I guess you just need to try Google Wave to see if it’s the real DEAL or NOT.
Our concern:
Privacy – Don’t expect that others would want to share their work to the network, I hope Google Wave will not turn to be the biggest “piracy” tool of the decade! (a little bit exaggerated yet possible ayt?)
Administrative editing – What if I already like the part of my document and I don’t want my buddies to edit it out? I hope google wave has an administrative option to constraint each part edited in the collaboration.
Auto translation and spelling-check correction: How correct is it? - We all know that each language has a different pitch. Does Google finally solve that “robotlike” translation and they can finally provide a near-like “native” language translation? That goes the same for the spelling check too.
Wrap-up:
Google wave is a dream come true. I know it’s quite subjective to say that at this early stage. But if you will base on its features. I will ask you, has any application offered you these type of services the way google wave is presenting to you right now?
It’s like c’mon! I know you love messenger from other companies, even so, Google Wave is something that is “leagues” ahead than your ordinary IM’ing.
I think Google wave is just the beginning. Maybe one day, Google will surprise us that people can now access each one’s computer and edit someone else’s files applications, play games together IN REAL TIME just like google wave? No more travelling thousands of miles just to repair a mozilla error? or installl a anti-virus to your client?
All I can say is OH EHM GEE to google. You gotta love technology don’t you agree?

could you send me a Google Wave invite? thank you!
Waddup, the invites are here invites
it doesn’t have backward compatibilty with emails..
I honestly believe that while the idea behind Wave is a good one, the interface itself leaves a lot to be desired.
It feels clunky, and more importantly *looks* far more complex than it needs to. That alone throws mum and pop users off.
