There’s a new hype going around the google trends lately. If you have seen this keyword, “googlegooglegooglegooglegooglegooglegooglegooglegooglegoogle” (google repeated 10 times) then you probably thought it was some sort of virus or yet another malicious worm ready to wipe out the files from your computer. Luckily that’s not the case, it turns out this google-redundant phrase is a new website released by “Alex” and “Erty” via http://googlegooglegooglegoogle.com . Interesting enough, you can see that it provides 4 google searches tiled in your screen.
Now, what’s the purpose of this application? As you can see from the prosaic website, it enables you to do 4 searches in one window pane. I know it looks retardish, anyway let’s hear the reasons why this “thing” was created coming from the mouth of the developers.
Why four Googles?
Alex and Erty were chatting on Google Talk one night, and Erty wondered if Googlegoogle.com was taken. He jokingly wondered if they could set up a search service for Google itself. Unfortunately, Googlegoogle.com was taken, but Alex pointed out that GoogleGoogleGooglegoogle.com was available. In a impulse buy, they purchased the domain (Alex already had some hosting) and someone had the idea of putting four Googles on the page. Thus, GoogleGoogleGoogleGoogle was born.
Way to go, there’s your explanation guys. Sounds like it was made in less than 60 minutes, don’t you think?
The funny thing though is the creators have this BIG LIST of the things they have updated on the said website plus a donation box too. WOW! We are kind of speechless here – I have nothing to say but “Keep it up guys!” (ala Danny De Vito’s grumpy accent).
