If you’re following the buzz about TabCo: A group of unknown individuals promising its next-generation device last week; it appears today, they finally announced what they’re cooking up and its none other than the Grid 10 tablet and Grid 4 smartphone.
But there’s more to it than that. You see, TabCo is a reboot of the Fusion Garage brand which gained a lot of negative remarks in the industry two years ago of failing to introduce its JooJoo tablet. Likewise, pundits believe the group wants to start with a clean slate thus, explaining its new company name and products.
Going back to the Grid 10 tablet, its a 10-inch svelte that runs a notebook like resolution of 1366 x 768, runs NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 16GB storage with an expandable micro SD slot plus, 1.3MP front-facing camera. The thing that separates this device from other tablet is it’s using Grid OS said to be built leveraging the Android Kernel and comes with a support for Android Apps and its market.

Other goodies include Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi support, uses Bing as its default search engine, 0.5 watts loudspeakers and a 5800 mAh battery which is the biggest we’ve ever seen for any tablet in the market. If you’re interested, its cheapest price will be tagged at $499 for its WiFi-only version and $599 if you want its WiFi + 3G model. Expect its release date to hit on September 15 and you can pre-order this on Amazon today.
