Hear Ye Half-Life fans! We have received new details for the elusive Half-Life 2: Episode 3 but unfortunately it wasn’t a good one. According to reports, Valve is “not prepared to talk about” the upcoming installment even though it’s been more than 3 years since Episode 2 was released. Are they still going to release this game or will it remain as a myth?

Half-life 2: Episode 3 is the 3rd and final installment for the popular first-person shooter game for Windows PC. It is part of the trilogy of Half-life 2 series after Half-Life Episode One and Episode 2. We’ve heard that Valve is planning to release Episode 3 with a “surprise”. That is in terms of new features and gameplay.
Based on previous reports, Episode 3 will be more appealing to gamers with hearing disability. Moreover, Valve will even include a deaf character in the upcoming sequel. In March of 2010, Valve hinted that Half-life will return to its “psychological horror roots” which is cool.
On recent reports, Valve’s Head scribe Chet Falisek further mentioned that Episode 3 will feature G-Man as Gordon Freeman’s future character. Other than that, Valve is keeping mum on the subject.
If you remember, on September 2010, Valve announced (via an interview with PC gamer) that they will be releasing 3 surprises within the next 12 months “at least”. We believed then that one of those was Episode 3. If that is true, then we still have a couple of months to wait before finally ending our hopes. Stay tuned for more details.
