Well, looks like HP was successful in keeping some juicy information about its latest products to themselves. But now, they had formally announced the addition in their line of HP notebooks, the 14 & 17 inch Envys.
The magnesium-aluminum alloy made chassis and back-lighting keyboard are the two features that make the new notebooks stand out from other HP offerings. The two new all aluminum machines carry the MUSE design philosophy of the company or the Materials, Usability, Sensory Appeal and Experience. The company had redesigned a portfolio of consumer notebook PCs that will deliver differentiated design elements new materials, enhanced performance and new and better experience t customers.
The 14 & 17 inch Envys will join the existing Envy 13 and 15 which were offered months before. The new notebooks are equipped with Intel’s latest Core CPUS, the i5/i7 processors, AATI Mobility Radeon HD Graphics. Both had backlit keyboards, slot loading optical drives, on board display Port HDI and VGA jacks, HP True Vision HD Webcams, Mini Display Port Connectors, Wi-Fi and optional 3D/WWAN and the latest wireless and connectivity options and will be run by Windows 7.
The 14 inch Envy sports a 14.5 inch screen that will display HD radiance that is 59% brighter than other notebooks. It has an Intel Core i5 CPU processor, Integrated Intel HD GPU, ATUI Mobility Radon HD 5830 graphics for gaming, video and graphics. It also has 13.75 hours of battery and 3G connectivity.
On the other hand, the 17 inch Envy is being run by an i5 or i7 processor. It has a multi display support via ATI Eyefinity, HP Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer, Beats Audio and brings up to 2TB storage which is really awesome.
Although the two machines offers really amazing specs and features it still has the same Click Pad touch pad which may users had complained about. But HP said that they had done some solutions to resolve these complaints.
The 14 Inch Envy will be available n June 27, 2010 and will have the starting price of $1,000. While the larger Envy will be available much earlier, its released schedule will be on May 19, 2010 and will be selling with a starting price of $ 1,400. Looks like HP had been feeding its customers with so many choices!
