If you are planning to buy a new laptop, then, here is something for you to check out for. HP is coming out with a new one called the HP Envy 14 (2011). HP has been known for coming out with PC’s and notebooks that meet consumer needs and features the latest technology and innovations and this has been also evident in the 2nd generation of the HP Envy 14.

If you could still remember the first version of the Envy 14 has received good reviews because HP was quite successful in delivering good performance and graphics punch and has also managed to correct the overheating problem that is often encountered by notebook users out there. And this might be the reason why HP has decided to come up with the second generation of the HP Envy 14 this summer.
Looking closely at the HP Envy 14 2011 model, you will see that it sports a 14.5-inch LED display that has a resolution of 1366 x 768 display. This resolution is considered quite lower than its first version and gives a fairly bright picture quality only. In addition to this, it is also expected to come up with the following specs and features as well:
- Powered by 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M CPU (can be upgraded to 2.0GHz Core i7-2630QM or 2.3GHZ Core i7-2828QM)
- Dual GPU cards
- 6GB of RAM, a
- 750GB 7,200RPM hard drive
- equipped with an eight-cell battery that can last for three hours and 55 minutes

Based on its specs and features we can say that the Envy 2011 is solidly built and still managed to give an impressive performance, improved touchpad and comfortable keyboard as compared with other 14-inch PCs in the market. However, it has its limitations as well such as low resolution display and the absence of a VGA port and Blu-ray option. But overall, we can say that it is still something we can consider for everyday use.
The notebook comes pre-installed with various software including: Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements 9, Bing Bar, CyberLink PowerDVD 10, Microsoft Office 2010, Power2Go and RoxioNow Player and other HP branded programs
The new Envy 14 version is offered at a starting price of $999.99.
