If you have been on the CES last year, you may have remembered how HP takes the scene by introducing its new generation of Envy laptops that will make everyone look at it even you’re a MAC guy. At that time, the company has promised a lot of features with the said laptop although when this series has been unleashed on the first quarter of last year, it appears some of the claims where put on a luke-warm disposition. Be that as it may be, the Envy 17 along with its 3D-ready brother was still amazing and today, at the early beginning of CES, HP has already unveiled an update for its HP Envy 17, DV6 and DV7 laptops giving them an extra added boost of Intel’s Sandy Bridge CPU power.

Coming from the blogosphere today, the second generation of Intel Core processors code-named ‘Sandy Bridge’ will be infused on the HP Envy 17, Pavilion DV6 and Pavilion DV7 notebooks and each one will be getting a dose of HP’s CoolSense technology boosting the efficiency of each laptops to another notch. In addition to that, they will have a Graphics card upgrade as well packing with AMD Radeon HD 6850 mobility graphics with an extra added support for HD playback, Intel Wireless Display and more ‘for your entertainment features’. So far, its release date is still yet to be revealed on the CES as well with the price but engadget predicts it would hang nicely on the 899 – 999 USD zone once everything falls into its right spot on January 9.
