Since the delay of the HP Slate 500, it looks like people will have to look for other avenues for their computing-on-the-go needs. Here’s HP covering their bases with their latest offering, the HP Mini 1103.

There are two options available to the specs this netbook can offer. Here is a quick rundown of the specs:
- 10.1-inch screen LED backlit WSVGA display (1024 x 600 resolution)
- 2 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM
- WiFi
- Bluetooth
- Built-in VGA Webcam
- Media Card Reader
- Weighs in at 2.78 lbs
Here are the options:
- Intel Atom N455 (1.66 GHz) or N475 (1.83 GHz) processor.
- 160 GB or 320 GB SATA (7200 rpm) HDD
- Three- or six-cell Li-Ion batteries
- Buyers choice of OS; Windows 7 Starter, SUSE Linux, or FreeDOS OS.
- HP Business apps (QuickSync, QuickWeb)
- Mobile Broadband with AT&T, Sprint or Verizon Wireless

For business people, this is a good alternative than buying and toting a tablet especially when on the road. If you’re boss is telling you to get this netbook however, should be an indication on the company finances and your hint of looking for a new higher paying job.
This is available for $299 for the cheapest configuration and more for the complete bells and whistles with no news as of yet of when it will be available so stay tuned.
