Way back last year, we are trying our best not to feel dismayed with Palm as it keeps on sliding down after its empire had started from the top almost a decade ago. And you can see our glee when it was announced that Palm was bought by HP, considering the new parent company has exactly the hardware means to envelope the fallen trademark into something that can blossom into a new metamorphic awesomeness.
Sure, they had a rough time with the Palm Pre 2 and HP Slate but the fight for the smartphone title still goes on. That being said, the company has promised that it will be launching its new type of WebOS consumer-electronic devices which is targeted for non-business individuals. Last month, it was announced that it would come in two flavors and the bigger one would be named as Topaz. Today, we have unearthed this report about HP Topaz and Opal that would run the latest WebOS platform and it appears its release date has already been set!
Coming from engadget, it’s now rumored that Topaz would have its launch on March since Inventec had already received instructions from HP to start producing and shipping a ‘WebOS’ type of slate and it should be ready on the said month. Interestingly, this timing makes sense since HP is making the whole world know that on February 9 – it’s the rise of their WebOS. Make sure you stay tuned because its price and everything you want to know might be announced on this event.
