Two years ago, HTC HD2 was crowned as one of the most powerful smartphones on the planet, whereas it’s the A-lister device of Microsoft under the Windows Mobile 6.5 platform. But today, everything is different, we have Android now taking the scene; battling its way as the most popular Mobile Operating System on the planet against the iOS and that once popular WinMo 6.5 – is now extinct – replaced by the newly fangled Windows Phone 7.

Nostalgia set aside, HTC HD2 still has the hardware to utilize these new operating systems and thanks to our developers on XDA, they found a way to hack-in on the smartphone and install a rooted Windows Phone 7 / Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). At that time, everything is still a bit buggy, although today, we have a reason to believe that installing an Android stock on HTC HD2 aka HTC Leo is something more achievable now even if you only have an ample amount of knowledge on flashing your ROM.
Here are all the installation and the download schtuff you’ll need. By the way, this is a NAND type of Android ROM hack which is a stable one as claimed by the developers, so if you ever managed to find yourself some glitches within the process, make sure you PM them kindly for the solutions.
