The previously rumored HTC HD7 smartphone is back once again as more photos of this upcoming phone from Taiwan-based manufacturer HTC has recently surfaced some gadget websites. Apparently, the HD7 is the 3rd handset from the HTC HD series which obviously skipped 4 numbers in its naming scheme to give honor to its Window Phone 7 OS.
Little by little this flagship device running the latest Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS is slowly giving us a clearer and better picture of what this upcoming smartphone would exactly be like. According to a detailed list, this upcoming HD7 smartphone will come up with the following specs:
- Comes with a tablet-shape 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive multi-touch display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels
- Powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon SOC processor
- Comes with an 8 GB built-in storage capacity
- Equipped with a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual-LED flash and capable of 720p video recording
- Comes with a full complement of sensors which include a proximity and ambient light sensor
- Comes with wireless capabilities such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and an A-GPS receiver
- Supports GSM networks and will be able to use 3G networks as well
- Other features include a 3.5mm headset audio jack, accelerometer and a digital compass

The HTC HD7 will be one of the first devices that will run the Windows Phone 7. This new OS focus more on the enhancement of features concerned with social networking, pictures and games. This upcoming smartphone is supposed to be the successor of the HD2 which offered an enhanced performance and comes with an improved speed when it comes to applications, videos, games and more. There were also some rumors that the HD7 will also come with the Dolby Mobile Sound technology.
