Okay! So you’ve seen how this remarkably gorgeous phone looks like, but the question is; Is the looks as remarkable as the features?

Are the Specs as stunning as it looks? With a whopping a 528MHz processor, 512MB/288MB ROM/RAM, 900/2100MHz HSPA and Quad-band GSM, a stunner 3.2-inch 320 x 480 touch screen,  GPS, trackball, Wi-Fi, compass, 3.5mm headphone jack, 5 megapixel this time it’s an auto-focus cam with microSD! Common, what more can you ask for?

But of course nobody’s perfect! Everybody gets to find flaws and criticize someone and something right? And this time HTC Hero wasn’t able to escape the eyes of critics in the market specially in the websites. You may see a lot of people posting on website comments declaring their eagerness of buying HTC Hero, and their dream to have this head turner of a phone to be in their hands. The question is, does our Hero’s feature as stunning as its performance? Or it’s just as disappointing as the other HTC phones?

So lets see what top gadget critic websites has to say:

Engadget, seems to have a quite good review of its external feature, actually not quite, because as I was reading along on Hero’s review, Engadget seems to be really impressed with HTC Hero’s gorgeous looks. They say it’s a total make over of an Android phone at the same time a whole new light to HTC’s line of smart phones. Basically this phone was built and designed to amaze and mesmerize consumers and critics alike.

Alright! So everyone’s already fascinated by this Hero, but when put to a test, will it still be your Hero of a phone? Or would you feel conned that you had believe it can deliver what it has promised?

HTC Hero has applications that other smart phones doesn’t  have! Lets’ start with Peep. To all Twitter lovers, HTC must have been thinking about you when they were building up this phone. Why? Peep is Hero’s own client version of Twitter, but sad to say accessing Peep slows down the phone. Blame it to the large requirement Peep needs to run properly! So HTC wasn’t really thinking much when they created Peep and installing all those hardware on their Hero, huh? Engadget’s declaration:

“Peep seems to be hampered by the slower CPU and limited RAM as well — scrolling can sometimes be stuttery, and it often takes some doing to refresh its content.” Oh well! If you’re not much of a Twitter fan then this shouldn’t be a hassle right?

Another application that has raved Hero wannabe owners is that it has Flash! Sure! This definitely sets HTC Hero apart from other smart phones, simply because Hero is the 1st smart phone to have it. But sad to say, it’s not much of a help anyway! Critics who tested it says “When browsing to a site heavy on Flash (there are many), the browser loading times were abysmal. Furthermore, trying to view videos in-window produced choppy, nearly unwatchable results.”

Enough of the flaws, let’s talk about what HTC Hero has improved compared to its brothers.

As I have read, its camera performance has definitely improved! The speaker is something that music lovers and show off peeps would love, its speaker is amazing that you would really love to play your favorite song in public! The audio is clear and pretty loud, not bad to be proud of right? As for the battery life, this one has impressed critics too! It seems like the battery was built for torture! Or maybe HTC was thinking of people who tends to forget to charge their phone most the time. Oh! and Hero has Spotify too! Spotify is a music streaming service, not bad right? It’s perfect with the loud and clear speaker it has!

So do you think this is your Hero of phone? Or just another eye catching device and head turner? You decide! Check it out and see for yourself whether you’ll utter the words “Make it Mine” after have the feel of HTC Hero.
