HTC Legend is about to make history: Specs and Review

Posted on 15 December 2009 by pinoytutorial

HTC has developed another baby in line with all their smart phones, introducing; HTC Legend!

I wonder why HTC has named this gadget Legend? HTC has been naming their phone models with strong and catchy names, I should say  it really made an impact in the market (they do marketing strategy pretty well!).

This gizmo resembles its brother Hero so much right? You must be wondering what makes it different from HTC hero other than it’s name. Let’s compare:

HTC HERO HTC LEGEND
- 512 MB ROM, 288 MB RAM
- 528 MHz processor
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- A-GPS
- HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2.0 Mbps
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g
- Trackball
- Digital compass
- none
- 5-megapixel autofocus
- 320 x 480 pixels, 3.2 inches
TFT capacitive touchscreen, 65K colors
- Li-Ion 1350 mAh

- 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM
- 600MHz processor
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- A-GPS
- HSPA
- Wi-Fi
- Optical mouse
- Digital compass
- Updated HTC People and HTC Footprints
- 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash
- 3.2-inch display with HVGA resolution
- AMOLED touchscreen display
- 1300 mAh battery

* A lot of gizmo websites already has detailed features of HTC Hero ( but of course it’s been in the market for quite sometime now)

Base on the features above there’s not much of a difference except for the Updated HTC People and HTC Footprints, optical mouse instead of a track ball, camera with flash a higher processor and AMOLED touchscreen rather than TFT.

The price tag for this gadget is not yet out in the market, nor detailed features of what this baby can really do! But hopefully HTC will release more info about this Legendary phone (as they named it).

I’m excited to hear what critics and consumer has to say about this brand new phone once it hits the market. Will this gadget remain as a legend (meaning a story of the past)? Or will it start making history for HTC?  I hope it wouldn’t be a phone that will be considered fictitious, simply because it can’t deliver what it’s expected to do. I wish this time HTC has really gone their way out of launching phones full of features and overwhelming capabilities but sans the flaws of course.

Hopefully this time HTC Legend will not be of a fantasy, but more likely a dream come true!
