HTC Obsession will be the 1st to be powered by Windows Mobile 7 OS
I am not implementing that this is true, in fact it’s a rumor that not even Microsoft have given a damn to clarify. If you would try to Google it, you would see that there’s a lot of results for this issue, but believe me nothing from those sites has claimed that the info they are declaring is something that they have affirmed with Microsoft. Okay I know you would say so where did I get all this information. Let’s just say I was eavesdropping too.
Let’s talk about the latest buzz 1st, gossip about the new Windows Mobile 7 OS is all about the 2 version that will be released; Business and Media version in addition to that the name will be changed to Seven (meaning Windows will be dropping the WM branding, I wonder why?)
Moving forward let’s talk about our main dish HTC Obsession. It’s been said that this phone is the upgraded or shall I say the betterment of HTC HD2. So if you have been planning to buy an HTC HD2 and you want to hold it back since you’re reading this, I have bad news for; This phone will not be available till October of 2010 and that’s not even final yet.
The phone may be released to the public for retail on October but that can still be delayed until December (I believe HTC plans to release this a year after HTC HD2 or HTC Imagio has been released). So far the WM7 OS is not yet final, so that mean this phone may or may not be powered by WinMo7 better yet Seven since Microsoft might really drop the WM branding on their OS for mobile phones.
Before I drop all the specifications from the buzzed up HTC Obsession let me again remind you that all the things I’m saying is not yet confirmed, but we would definitely update you guys once everything has been confirmed. For now everything can be considered as rumors except for the specs below.
