You may have heard Cricket’s Huawei Ascend last year packing with a mid-end type of specifications under a budgeted price. In case you don’t, you may be interested on checking its newly upgraded version, Huawei Ascend II; Likewise, its still the same mediocre phone targeted for users who only wants to shellout less than two benjamins on their wallet.
So this “value-priced” Android phone comes with 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, runs a 600MHz processor just like its predecessor, 5MP shooter camera that can record videos and shoot still images, expandable microSD slot (up to 32GB) and it will use Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) for its OS. Other goodies include WiFi and 3G support, MP3 player, and since this handset is vested with the current latest Android platform for smartphones, it will have access to more than 200k Android apps, the green market, google applications and other social-media apps.
The Huawei Ascend II is now available on Cricket’s website or other retailers nationwide for a price of 180 bucks sans the contract. Likewise, if you’ll pick this on any Cricket shop, you’ll pay for an Android plan worth $55 to handle your unlimited text and data plan. Still pretty cheap if you’ll ask me.
