If you’ve been following the industry long enough to know who are the top students of the class, we all know Huawei is on the different part of the group and have gained its popularity of releasing dumb phones with affordable prices for the past years.
However, it appears with this latest leak unearthed by insiders, the company is about to change its gameplan revealing its first high-end Android smartphone rumored to be the Huawei Honor packing a single-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4-inch touchscreen LCD, 5MP shooter camera with HD video recording capability, supports HSDPA network and CDMA 900 / 2100 MHz making it viable for European or Asian markets, along with a 1930 mAh battery which is bigger than standard Li-Ion packs used on Android handsets. It’ll be running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) so expect Flash Support and full access to Android market all on its slim profile under 9.9mm.
While we still haven’t heard any details about its price and release date, sources suggest it’ll be the company’s flagship device with a model name “U8860” although there’s some discrepancy about its camera specs when you look on this site stating it has an 8MP / 2MP rear and front-facing camera. Anyway, we expect this device’s price to be highly honorable for budgeted users, hitting a release this year.
