iMac 2012: Release With TV Functionality Before Apple’s New iTV (Rumor)

Posted on 09 December 2011 by pinoytutorial

And the rumor mill keeps on coming with Apple’s upcoming iTV next year. This time, insiders believe iMacs will also be infused with a TV-like functionality that will come as a bundled All-in-One product with the Apple TV 2G we currently have on the market.

During an investor’s call, Wedge Partners’ Brian Blair announced his belief that Apple will unveil a real Television (not just a box like the Apple TV 2G), but before that, he believes iMacs will step in the middle and will be infused with TV functionality.

The analyst predicts iMac 2012 will not just be your ordinary all-in-one computer but will also feature out TV-functionality using its beautiful monitor as your display along with iCloud functionality so those things you have purchased with your iOS devices / Macbooks can be watched on iMac’s bigger screen.

Still, this report doesn’t really sound like a breakthrough compared with those rumors we have about the Cupertino Giant releasing a Television set with three sizes (42, 50 and 55 inch).

Just a reminder, all of these are only speculations but what can insiders do, especially when it’s on the DNA of Apple not to comment on any rumored reports until it’s already revealed for public consumption. Likewise, if there’ll be a real Apple TV next year, it’ll be the company’s next flagship product release since iPad on 2010.
