iPhone photography application Instagram is finally calling Android its second home after it announced that it will be developing Instragram for the said device.

With an estimated 15million users on iOS alone, chief executive Kevin Systrom sees the amount to double when it reach the Android market, even though with familiar competitors like Facebook and even Apple itself. Instagram however, pride itself for its sharing network, not to mention the cool stuff you can do with your photos. And just like the saying “a picture is worth a thousand words”, why not make them even more memorable? With Instagram, pictures can be more than a thousand words; think of millions to begin with.
But just like any other company, Instagram looks to stretch its membership – a probable reason why they considered putting another branch with Android. Systrom said that Instagram is now focusing on growing its network and that the network is essential for their advertisers.

September saw the advent of Instagram 2.0 and brought with it live filers, high resolution photos and tilt shifts to name a few, and at Le Web in Paris, the company announced that they have plans to insert ads to their already free application: a double whammy to say the least.
It is just a matter of time if Android users would want to try on something new to their photographic experience, but considering the number of iPhone users, there is no question that Anroid can handle Instagram.
Details about the Instagram coming to Android are scarce as of the moment, as well as its availability. But it will definitely be coming over to Android. Enough said.
