Intel is jumping on the Holiday Season bandwagon and has just released their Christmas Offering, the Intel X25-M SSD 120 GB SSD variant. The other older variants are the 80 GB and 160 GB and they have lowered their prices for these last two.

SSD stands for Solid State Drive. A SSD is also energy efficient machine, since it does not use any moving parts so battery life of your laptop or your Desktop computers energy consumption is on the down low.
The Intel Model SSDSA2MH120G2K5 is based on 34nm MLC flash technology. It has Internal SATA, Power Cables and a 2.5-Inch Form Factor. Its official measurements are 5.9 x 4.3 x 0.9 inches and just weighs 4.5 ounces.
The X25-M SSD 120 GB variant is available now for $275. The older X25-M SSD 80 GB is selling now for $199 while the X25-M SSD 160 GB variant is available for $415. Anyone can buy these Storage Devices of the Future at Best Buy, Fry’s Electronics nationwide or from Internet outlets such as Amazon.com or newegg.com.
If you are using an old school HDD, then fret not. Your data on your old HDD can be cloned to the SSD by using Intel’s free cloning utility called the Intel® Data Migration Software. The app will help move info from the HDD, including OS, apps, docs and personal settings, in just minutes.
