When we first heard the news about Mozilla planning to launch the next Firefox 5 this June, we were quite bedazzled why their cycle-release has changed in a faster phase. Alas! At today’s MIX event, it appears one of the probable reason for this is, because of IE 10 already prepping up for its release “soon” — in fact — you can download it now today!

At the Internet Explorer Test Drive, you can finally taste the beta for Internet Explorer 10 and it will feature out tons of new features like added Speed, by implementing its “chakra” engine upon utilizing your GPUs power on browsing the web. Stricter implementation to HTML5 / ES5 standards. Added visual experience for next-generation browsing experience with HTML5 / CSS3 graphic support. And oh, there’s also this new “HTML5 Fishbowl” ready for you to try now!

Likewise, the whole IE10 is about following the web standards, implementing CSS3 gradients, multi-column layouts, Flexibox, etc. Then again, it’s obvious that Microsoft is just showing one side of IE10. Unlike the leak we have with Firefox 5, which involves not only about improving its UI but implementing more social-media integration and, application of WebSync functionality just like in Chrome 10.
Expected release date still being concealed.
