As fast as the wind — that’s the epitome of the transition being phased forward by Apple to release its beta versions for iOS 5 so developers can tweak it accordingly before its official release.
Just a recap, iOS 4.3.4 was the controversial patch launched by Apple ten days ago that completely blocked its PDF Exploit bug rendering JailbreakMe unusable again, but was solved by the iPhoneDev community the day after so developers can try to jailbreak the beta version should they want to test something.
Going back to the iOS 4.3.5 update today or iOS 4.2.10 if you’re using a CDMA (Verizon) iPhone, the fruit-shaped company said its all about adding protection and security features for the benefit of its users. It includes this “Data Security” patch that prevents “an attacker with a privileged network position to capture or modify your data” supposed to be protected via SSL/TLS. This happens when a session is handled on X.509 certificates; likewise, this issue is now addressed by improving the validation process for the said X.509 certificates.
Just so you know, you can still jailbreak this one via RedSn0w (0.9.8b4) – the one you used for iOS 4.3.4 – but as usual, its only bound for tether use and the jailbreak team advise non-developers to stick with the iOS 4.3 Jailbreak via Jailbreakme and try not to upgrade to iOS 5 beta until its official launch has arrived this Fall. That’s about it!
