Since its release, the iOS 5.0.1 update, submitted by Apple, has largely lifted the spirits of iPhone users who are presently suffering from poor battery performance. However, much to their dismay, the update was not even able to create a dent on the global battery problem. Perhaps the update lacked a little more Beta testing?

Apple, as indicated in their public statement to AllThingsD, will not cease to investigate the remaining iPhone issues until a solution is found. The number of complainants has not decreased a single bit. In fact, the number of complaining posts on Apple’s support forums even seems to increase. The main gist of the complaints is directed towards continuing battery issues despite being able to successfully download the iOS 5.0.1 update.
Some users are dismayed about 5% battery drain in only 45 minutes after fully downloading and installing the update. It seems that what is hoped to be the answer to today’s iPhone problems is actually not of much help.
In a poll, more than 900 respondents, which accounts to 32%, stated that they still experienced the very same level of battery problems that they suffered from even before the update was released. However, 350 respondents, or 12% of the total number of respondents stated that the battery performance of their iPhones became even much worse despite the update download. Still, on the bright side, the update seemed to be able to please 600 of the respondents, or 21%, after being able to fix their iPhone battery issues.
Perhaps, its inevitable to see iOS 5.0.2 update in the near future. What do you think?
