It appears we have another problem again with Apple’s beloved iOS devices, whereas a pile of complaints were posted on the company’s forum discussing this iOS 5 issue that makes a particular iDevice lose its WiFi connection.
Now, don’t get us wrong here. This is not similar with that antennagate controversy we had with iPhone 4 last year in which the culprit is on the hardware. For today’s anomaly, the bug is pinpointed with the iOS 5 itself so this means, a software patch is only needed to remedy the situation. However, the fruit-shaped company still remains silent and haven’t yet acknowledge the error which is reported to be happening on iPhone 4S, 4, 3GS including iPad and iPod Touch as well. Interesingly, a user manage to solve the problem by going back to iOS 4.3 and was able to reproduce the same error when tried upgrading to iOS 5 again.
Just a refresher, this is not the first time the new platform was shuddered with problems. Last week, Apple release iOS 5.0.1 patch to solve that batterygate problem causing iPhone 4S to drain its battery too fast. However, there’s still a lot of complaints stating the patch didn’t solve the problem. Likewise, this reckons the possibility of Apple releasing iOS 5.1 to offer a detailed solution for this problem as well as the new WiFi setback we’re hearing today.
