We haven’t barely reached the first week since the announcement for the iOS 5 and here we are, receiving several reports of how the iOS should’ve been on Apple’s keynote last week.
As some of you may recall, one of the new features of the iOS 5 is to bring deep-integration for Twitter allowing you to attach pictures and tweet on the fly than going through the whole process of logging in with the twitter app with your account. And since the new feature lets you opt-in your username and password on the “settings”, doing this really becomes hassle-free.
But what about Facebook?
Good question! In fact, that’s the thing bugging other social-media sites wondering why Apple didn’t include a “deep-integration for Facebook” as well.
Techcrunch managed to bring light on this issue and just to give you a wrap-up of the discussion, you should know that since last year when the iOS 4 was being conceptualized, numerous leaks were revealed about how Apple developers managed to syndicate and put the Facebook integration on the core of iPhone 4.
As you can see from the left picture, there’s a Facebook setting option which is now replaced by the new iOS 5 by iCloud and Twitter on the right picture.
According to the article, the reason is all about Facebook’s tedious terms making it really difficult for Apple to initiate Facebook integration on the iOS.
Anyway, let’s see how Mark Zuck and Steve Jobs tag along in the next few months. Who knows? We may be seeing this feature again in the iOS 6.
