Apple’s iOS will now face the wrath of the buggy version of the latest Jailbreak (JailbreakMe 3.0) just leaked out by someone using the dictionary attack. A dictionary attack is the process of determining decryption key to defeat an authentication mechanism.

It is a less formal way of hacking. As known in the tech savvy world, jailbreak allows non-Apple software installation to Apple’s products (iPod, iPhone and iPad) running Safari browser. The buggy version has the ability to jailbreak all devices with firmwares 4.2.1-4.3.3 but iPad2, except iPad 2 Wi-Fi on iOS 4.3. There’s a hint that iPad 2 Wi-Fi on 4.3.1-4.3.3 as well as iPad 2 CDMA and GSM on 4.3-4.3.3 will be supported by the official version.
Dubbed as the pre-release version of the official JailbreakMe, the beta tester tester-leaked jailbreaking processor is not intended for commercial use as it does not contain previous debugging by Comex. Jailbreaking is intended to circumvent limitations on unauthorized software installations usually done by tethering and filesystem access. It is also made to customize the device such as redesigning the user interface.
Due to the perceived threat on time limits, Comex is expediting the development of the final version to its eventual release. You can visit the official site (JailbreakMe.com) to read more details.
