Well what do you know? It appears our jailbreak developers are working non-stop since the release of iPad 2 last Friday for all of us to see! And just what we expected, there’ll be some delay for this jailbreak mainly because the old exploit that was found on the first-generation iPad was already patched on the iPad 2. Anyway, that doesn’t mean our jailbreakers would give up that easily. In fact, comex managed to tease everyone about this picture of [his] iPad 2 running Cydia.
Check it out!
As you can see from the image, that’s the installation package for Cydia, but before you get too excited, you should know that the OS for that isn’t running iOS 4.3. Like we said, there are a lot of bugs Apple managed to fix for the iOS 4.3 and this may have affected the past exploits for the given tablet. So basically, all of our developers are working for a new exploit and its public release would come “in the near future” — as usual.
For those who are asking what an “exploit” really means, it’s similar to a loop-hole / bug that can be used by our hackers to infiltrate and jailbreak a given device. Last time, there were two bootrom-exploits that were discovered for the iPhone 4, which is applicable on the iPad 1 as well.
Let me repeat, those sites claiming they have the official iPad 2 jailbreak is just plain bogus and I suggest you won’t follow their methods, unless it’s the official one coming from trustworthy jailbreak-developers.
