Like we said on our previous report, HP Touchpad is an inch ahead when you’ll merely compare it with the first-generation iPad. Specswise, without looking at Apple’s monstrous App store, the touchpad eats the specs of iPad 1 in one bite; the same situation goes for the Motorola Xoom although its price is a big turn-off no matter how you look at its grandiose specifications.
Now that the iPad 2 is here, one should realize the game has changed once again. Today, the “force” has been shifted back in the advantageous position of Apple with its second generation tablet.
Here’s a comparison between iPad 2 vs HP Touchpad and Xoom.

Before, one of the prime reason why HP Touchpad and Xoom tablet seems to be ahead with the iPad is because of their dual-core specifications and front-facing cameras but not anymore! You see, Apple does all that with its dual-core A5 chip processor and newly fangled 720p HD front-facing cam. But not only that! Its price has been maintained on that minty 499 USD up to 829 USD easily beating the hefty price tag of the Xoom tablet.
This chart proves one thing and that is, if HP really wants to compete with the iPad 2, the price for its Touchpad should be something at par with the iPad 2 and relatively lower than the Xoom. But that’s just one thing! As we all know, the WebOS 3.0 of the company has not yet been tested to work out well, while the iOS 4x of Apple is already predicted to come out good simply because it will — proven for three years already.
Here’s to say that it wouldn’t be that hard to believe this year would become an iPad 2 year again, just like what Apple predicted on the yesterday’s event.
