Certainly, a lot were pleased with the announcement of the iPad 2 today. Personally, I think the whole event became more thrilling when we see our familiar guy on his black long-sleeve dress smiling at the crowd – meaning “I’m still in control of this company!”.
Anyway, just like any Apple event, some questions will remain unanswered and that means, you need to wait for the next announcement if you are willing to know the truth behind it! And that’s the same instance for the iPad 3.
Even weeks before the iPad 2 event, rumors are already buzzing around the web that an iPad 3 a.k.a iPad-mini / Big iPod Touch would be reveal before the end of this year, which may coincide after the revelation of iPhone 5 on June. Also, you can’t deny the fact that some of the leaks for the iPad 2 didn’t materialize, like having a better resolution, SD card slot, gorilla glass and 4G – or the looming iOS 5!
Here’s to say that Apple may just be waiting for the proper timing (as usual), to reveal all of these goodies, or some of them, on its next iPad announcement. Again, one should also consider that it was predicted numerous times that a new gesture-miltitasking feature would be available for the iPad 2, which didn’t appear on iOS 4.3, meaning this could already be for the iOS 5.
I say just wait and hope. We still have an Apple WWDC event this June and September Music announcement this year!

i would like to see apple keep the long battery life for every generation… i like taking my ipad to friends houses, and i like not bringing my power adaptor everywhere i go.
