While the majority of apple enthusiast is just there dreaming how will the iPhone 4G – looks like, feels like, smell like, etc – claims from the pop-mogul website engadget has started to trickle down, creating a buzz on our world once again – This time Joshua toplotsky made a 2 part post, of what it appears to be the next real iPhone 4G — providing a proof on the latter part. The question is – Will these pictures purported below be the authenticated iPhone 4th Gen Model, millions of users will fondle their hands on this year?
Now that we’re just sitting here comfortably waiting, we provided some of the most probable features of the new iDevice – like an augmented storage capacity, camera, processor and will certainly utilize iPhone OS 4.0 for its platform. If you have some 5 minutes to burn, you can read it here.
Nonetheless, if ever these rumors are true then we can assume that the new iPhone will also have a front-facing camera, higher resolution (possibly can extend up to HD quality) and will use MicroSim like its big-brother, iPad.

Update 1: Ladies and gentlemen, it has now been confirmed! — (lub dub) That these leaked photos are the real official Fourth Gen Apple iPhones! Gizmodo manage to have their own unit as well in their hands and more interestingly, got a chance to dig the innards of this device and their discovery is somewhat amazing!
- Basing from the sideglances, it’s thinner than the 3GS. Internal components is somewhat smaller and has a larger battery. Not disclosed if it was a removable Li-On or not.
- Unlike the curve body /plastic shell of the 3GS, the iPhone 4G has a very flat-squared body enclosed by a ‘somewhat’ metallic chassis that has quite a resemblance with Apple’s MacBook Pro series today.
- Like we mentioned, it’ll have a higher resolution, will use Micro Sim and will run iPhone OS 4.0
- Gizmodo can’t give the exact numbers but the resolution can go as high as 960 x 480
- Will have a front and secondary rear camera (with flash)
- Like the Nexus One, it has a secondary mic for noise cancellation purposes.

Ah yes! Nothing beats the day than having a fresh leak of Apple device, huh? Unlike that cupertino-tablet, which was revealed only hours before the official release. I wonder, how will Apple react to this?
Update 2: Legality woes – While some of you are wondering how the heck we got an early leak impression for the iPhone 4G — Which is highly unlikely, for a company like Apple, who guards its iDevices, like its the last unicorn. Here’s how it sums-up.
The story, as it goes so far: guy finds what looks like an iPhone 3GS in a protective case sitting on the floor of a bar in San Jose. He pops the case off and, lo and behold, it’s not the iPhone 3GS at all, but a brand-stinkin’ new, unreleased iPhone. He sends some pictures to Engadget, and then sells the unit itself to Gizmodo for the aforementioned rumored price tag of $10k. Giz then spends a few days attempting to prove that it’s real before posting it. (via mobilecrunch)
