Everyone hates to lose and that’s the case for Samsung. As we’ve heard from several reports last week, the consumer-electronic company is trying to delay or asking for a permanent ban of iPhone 5 on South Korea. This happened just less than a month after Apple manage to win a court ruling that would prevent the sales of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 / Galaxy Tab 7.7 over Germany.
As for the latest scoop, it appears Samsung is really taking the heat up as insiders found out the Korean-based company is planning to file a suit that would prevent Apple from selling iPhone 5 on UK including other countries in Europe. While the details of this news remain concealed, it’s believe Samsung will leverage its telecom patents against Apple in which Sammy believes iPhone 5 will be relying with for network access.
According to a Samung representative, the company’s focus is to shift away from defensive strategy on facing Apple’s lawsuit charges. In fact, the company believes “[it] has a good chance of winning the cases” since the charges they’ve submitted into the court is all about their patented wireless communication standard.
Obviously, if Samsung manage to ban the sales of iPhone 5 even in UK only, it would bring a tremendous fallout in the total profits this handset should achieve not to mention all the controversies spun around the media from annoyed customers.
Whatever the case, it seems this battle is getting uglier every day.
