Apple wants to become the overlords of computers. Their next step: create the next iteration of the iPhone to be able to bring your desktop computer with you. Here’s a small tidbit of the up-and-coming but still unknown iPhone 5.

What we have here is NFC technology. NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It’s a short-range wireless connection tech that would turn the iPhone into an e-wallet or security passkey. You know, those crazy phones in Japan that the Japanese wave over a sensor and they can buy almost anything. Apple wants that kind of tech in the next iPhone and what they envision is remarkable already.
The iPhone 5, should it have the NFC tech, will in short, bring your whole desktop with you. Files, folders, settings, games, programs, everything. Your. Whole. Desktop.
This will bring the term remote computing to a whole new level. Think of it like this. You sync your iPhone and take it with you. You go to a friends house that also has a Mac computer. Just place the iPhone near the Mac, and it should sync the NFC enabled data so you get to see your own desktop. How it looks, how it feels, how it acts. You just bought your whole computer without the actual hardware.
Now this is a big undertaking and is just the beginning of news about the iPhone 5, but it raises a lot of interesting possibilities and stuff. Stay tuned for any development of the iPhone 5.
